MARINE CORPS BASE CHERRY POINT, N.C. - A Marine with 2nd Marine Air Wing’s Aircraft, Rescue and Firefighting uses a hydraulic spreader tool during a training event for the recently fielded Expeditionary Fire and Rescue Hydraulic Extrication Family of Systems, held April 23, aboard Marine Corps Base Cherry Point, North Carolina. In April, Marine Corps Systems Command’s EFR team conducted its first-ever fielding of the new, standardized rescue equipment designed to support Marine firefighters in removing personnel from air or ground vehicles in emergency situations.
