Brigadier General Campbell, a native of Boston, MA, was commissioned into the Marine Corps upon her graduation from the United States Naval Academy in May 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Oceanography.
Upon her completion of Marine Corps Communications and Electronics School as an Air Defense Control Officer, 2nd Lieutenant Campbell was assigned to MACS-1, Camp Pendleton, CA, earning her qualifications as an Air Intercept Controller. In 2001, Captain Campbell attended Naval Postgraduate School where she earned a dual Master of Science degree in Program Management and Financial Management.
From April 2003 to July 2006, Captain Campbell served in several key billets at Marine Corps Systems Command to include Project Officer and Assistant Business Manager with the Common Aviation Command and Control System Program and a Joint Program - Joint Interface Control Officers Support System. In July 2006, Captain Campbell was assigned as an Integrated Air and Missile Defense Capabilities Officer within the Combat Development Directorate, Marine Corps Combat Development Command.
In September 2007, she was assigned as the Command and Control Plans Officer within the G-3, Force Fires Section at III MEF, Okinawa, Japan. In March 2008, Major Campbell was selected for lateral re-designation as an Acquisition Professional. In September 2009, she transferred to MTACS-18 to serve as the S-6, Maintenance Officer and Senior Air Coordinator within the Tactical Air Command Center.
From August 2010 to July 2013, she served as the Deputy Program Manager for Air Traffic Control (ATC) Systems at PMA213, NAVAIR. She then returned to Marine Corps Systems Command and served within PM-MAGTF Command, Control and Communications as the Product Manager for Integration, Interoperability and Situational Awareness from July 2013 to July 2017.
From July 2017 to July 2018, she served as the Chief of Staff for the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy, Expeditionary Programs and Logistics Management. She returned to NAVAIR in July 2018 and served as the Strategic IPT Lead for PMA-272, Advanced Tactical Aircraft Protection Systems, until Aug 2020 when Colonel Campbell was promoted to PMA-272 Program Manager.
In June 2024, Brigadier General Campbell assumed command of Marine Corps Systems Command.
Brigadier General Campbell earned a Master of Science degree in National Security and Resource Strategy with a concentration in Strategic Acquisition from The Eisenhower School at National Defense University. Brigadier General Campbell’s personal decorations include Meritorious Service Medal x3, Joint Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal x3 and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal x2.
