Who We are

Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) is the acquisition command of the Marine Corps, exercising contracting and technical authority for Marine Corps ground weapons and IT systems. Our team equips and sustains Marine forces with highly capable and cost-effective systems for current and future operations, quickly adapting to urgent and evolving threats using streamlined processes and advanced technology.

MARCORSYSCOM’s workforce is comprised of Marines, Sailors, civilians, and contractor personnel supporting in fields such as program management, contracting, financial management, engineering, acquisition logistics, support functions, and more.

Our organization traces its origins to the Marine Corps Research, Development and Acquisition Command (MCRDAC), which the Marine Corps established in November 1987 as required by the Goldwater Nichols Act. In 1992, as directed by Marine Corps Order 5000, the Corps re-designated MCRDAC as MARCORSYSCOM.

We are primarily located in Quantico, VA and the surrounding areas, with additional teams and activities located in Camp Pendleton, CA; Orlando, FL; Albany, GA; and Warren, MI.
