Capt. Jerald Feehery, a project officer with the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory, demonstrates the Augmented Immersive Team Trainer Oct. 15 aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia. AITT uses augmented reality to superimpose virtual objects—from aircraft to buildings—onto a real environment. The system is being transferred from the Office of Naval Research to Marine Corps Systems Command’s Training Systems for further testing and development before it is fielded and used to train Marine forward observers and tactical air controllers. - Capt.
