High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) Fleet
The HMMWV provides the Fleet Marine Force with a light tactical vehicle for command and control, troop transport, light cargo transport and shelter transport, is the prime moving platform for towed weapons systems, and a weapons platform for missions throughout all areas of operation. The HMMWV will eventually be replaced by the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle.
Utility Task Vehicle (UTV)
The UTV is a diesel-powered, all-terrain vehicle with a payload of up to 1,500 pounds. It's capable of carrying up to two stretchers for casualty evacuation, and provides an ideal sustainment capability platform for foot-mobile forces. The UTV is transportable in MV-22 tilt-rotor aircraft, CH-53E/K, and CH-47 helicopters.
Trailers
The Light Tactical Trailers (M1102-MCC and M1102-H) are designed to be towed behind the HMMWV and support a variety of operations, providing ground units with a 4,200 lbs. towed gross vehicle weight lift capability across the HMMWV mission profile. The trailers are capable of operations on all types of roads, cross-country terrain and in all weather conditions.
