Bill Norton, an Ordnance Test Facility equipment specialist, talks to members of the Marine Corps Base Quantico Special Reaction Team following a New Equipment Training class for the M45A1 Close Quarters Battle Pistol April 10. The pistol replaces the Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) .45-caliber pistol, and will be fielded to Marine Corps Special Operations Command, reconnaissance organizations and military police special response teams across the Marine Corps.

In August, Marine Corps Systems Command began fielding NET to the Marine Corps Communication-Electronics School.
