Marine Corps awards contract for SMAW Mod 2

Marines with the Anti-Armor Section, Weapons Company, Ground Combat Element Integrated Task Force, fire the Mk-153 shoulder-launched multipurpose assault weapon, or SMAW, at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Next Generation Troposcatter

August 20, 2024 – MARINE CORPS BASE TWENTYNINE PALMS, Calif. – Marines with the Marine Corps Communication-Electronics School (MCCES) set up the Next Generation Troposcatter (NGT) satellite at a New Equipment Training event in Twentynine Palms, CA August 20, 2024. MCCES is the first unit to receive NGT and will train future Marines on the system.

In August, Marine Corps Systems Command began fielding NET to the Marine Corps Communication-Electronics School.
