The Target Handoff System Version 2

The Target Handoff System Version 2, or THS V.2, is a portable system designed for use by dismounted Marines to locate targets, pinpoint global positioning coordinates and call for close air, artillery and naval fire support using secure digital communications. Next Generation Troposcatter

August 20, 2024 – MARINE CORPS BASE TWENTYNINE PALMS, Calif. – Marines with the Marine Corps Communication-Electronics School (MCCES) set up the Next Generation Troposcatter (NGT) satellite at a New Equipment Training event in Twentynine Palms, CA August 20, 2024. MCCES is the first unit to receive NGT and will train future Marines on the system.

In August, Marine Corps Systems Command began fielding NET to the Marine Corps Communication-Electronics School.
