U.S. Marine Corps recruits with Echo Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, undergo a final 54-hour training event, the Crucible, before earning the title of Marine at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Jan. 23, 2024. The 54-hour training event is designed to test recruits’ physical endurance, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
