MCSC COVID-19 "Ask Yourself"

Before reporting to the workplace, ask yourself the following:

1. ARE YOU CURRENTLY SICK OR EXPERIENCING ANY OF THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS?

Fever, Chills, Cough, Sore Throat, Shortness of Breath, Body Aches, Abdominal Pain                                                        

2. IN THE PAST 14 DAYS, HAVE YOU HAD CLOSE PERSONAL CONTACT, AS DEFINED BELOW, WITH ANYONE KNOWN TO BE INFECTED WITH COVID-19?

a. Within 6 feet

b. In a confined space (vehicle, small room, shared stateroom, berthing proximity, office, etc.)

c. Had direct contact with secretions (i.e., coughed or sneezed on)

3. PER THE CDC, ARE YOU AT HIGHER RISK FOR SERIOUS ILLNESS FROM COVID-19?

a.Adults age 65 and over

b.Individuals with chronic health conditions like high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, lung disease or compromised immune system

IF YOU ANSWERED YES TO 1, 2, or 3, CONTACT YOUR SUPERVISOR AND STAY HOME!

If you answered "yes" to questions 1 and/or 2, contact a medical professional per CDC guidance.Contractors: Contact your companies for guidance.

MCSC STATUS
Modified Normal- Telework at the discretion of each section; contact your supervisor for further guidance.
 
Reporting Requirements
​Report suspected and confirmed cases of COVID-19 to your supervisor. Supervisors, immediately report to G-3 at watchofficer@usmc.mil.

Travel

Official CONUS/OCONUS travel is prohibited. Mission-essential travel must be approved by the Commander.

ALL personnel returning from official travel or leave OCONUS travel will be placed on 14-day ROM status upon return. ROM personnel may telework or elect to take annual leave during this 14-day period. Personnel electing to telework must be telework-eligible, have a signed telework agreement filed, and report to their supervisor via email or telephone NLT 0900 daily.

Anyone displaying flu-like symptoms during ROM must be screened by a health care provider prior to returning to work.

MILITARY PERSONNEL: Liberty radius is 250 miles. Exceptions must be approved by the Commander. OCONUS leave travel is prohibited. Exceptions require Commander’s approval.

CIVILIAN PERSONNEL: Report travel outside of 250 miles to your supervisor. CIV personnel traveling OCONUS on personal leave will submit a completed Notification of Foreign Travel form via G-2 prior to travel and will be placed on a 14-day restriction of movement (ROM) status upon return.
