Assistant Program Manager for Logistics
Gloria Tuck

Ms. Tuck’s professional career began in 1989 when she was selected for a highly competitive Navy Career Logistics Intern Program.  She completed rotational assignments within Headquarters Marine Corps and Marine Corps Logistics Bases (MCLB), Albany, GA.  After intern graduation, Ms. Tuck was assigned as MCLB’s Program Manager for the newly established Royal Saudi Naval Forces Marine Force (RSNFMF) program, a proposed $8 billion foreign military sales endeavor. 

In 1996, Ms. Tuck accepted a logistics position in naval aviation on the E-6 Aircraft program within Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Aviation Depot Jacksonville, FL. By 1999, she was twice promoted to become the E-6 Field Support Team Logistics Lead. Her duties included planning and managing in-service logistics support for aircraft sustainment and acquisition logistics support for aircraft modifications/upgrades. 

Ms. Tuck served as Chairman, Jacksonville Chapter of SOLE - The International Society of Logistics from 1999 to 2003. Stemming from her SOLE Florida LOG conference planning experience, Ms. Tuck became one of the founders and coordinators of Naval Air Station, Jacksonville Acquisition and Logistics Reform Conference.  The conference has become an annual event averaging over 400 attendees from both government and private industry. 

In 2005, Ms. Tuck joined HQ NAVAIR, Logistics and Industrial Operations, Logistics Research and Development Technical Support Branch. Her responsibilities included developing national logistics transformational technology strategies.

During 2006, Ms. Tuck joined Chief of Naval Operations, Navy Logistics Planning and Innovation Division (OPNAV N401).  Her responsibilities included supporting the Director, Material Readiness and Logistics (OPNAV N4) in the areas of Sea Enterprise, acquisition logistics policy, strategic planning, information systems, and Lean Six Sigma.

By 2007, Ms. Tuck returned to work with the Marines as the Life Cycle Logistics Competency Lead and Plank Owner of the Marine Corps first Program Executive Office (PEO).  She was the senior advisor to the Program Executive Officer Land Systems and provided program advocacy and oversight for USMC ACAT I and II programs.  Ms. Tuck also served as a member of HQMC Corporate and Life Cycle Logistics Competency Leadership Boards.  She is credited for implementing the Initial Operational Capability Supportability Review process across PEO LS programs.

During 2010, Ms. Tuck transferred to Program Manager Training Systems (PM TRASYS) as the Logistics Competency Lead/Assistant Program Manager for Logistics. She engages with local Program Managers to ensure logistics considerations are applied throughout the acquisition and sustainment processes for training systems. Ms. Tuck continues to serve as a leader and mentor within PM TRASYS.

Ms. Tuck earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Savannah State University and a Master of Business Administration from Webster University.  She is also a graduate of the NAVAIR Senior Executive Management Development Program (SEMDP).  Throughout Ms. Tuck's career as a Navy and USMC civilian, she has received numerous outstanding performance awards, to include Commander Strategic Communications Wing One Silver Medallion and a Certificate for Meritorious Service Award. She is the mother of two beautiful daughters, Marian and Riyan, and the author of a children’s book series.
