Assistant Program Manager for Engineering
Paul Bourgeois

Paul Bourgeois serves as the Assistant Program Manager for Engineering for Marine Corps Systems Command’s Program Manager for Training Systems. He previously served as the Assistant Product Manager for Engineering for the Product Manager for Collective Training Systems and Product Manager for Constructive Training Systems.

The son of a Navy Senior Chief Air Traffic Controller dad and an Irish-Catholic mom, Paul spent his early childhood in Quonset Point, RI; Newfoundland, Canada; Whidbey Island, WA; and Boston, MA. His father joined the FAA in 1973 resulting in the family moving to New Bern, NC; far, far away from Paul’s beloved Boston Bruins, Celtics, and Red Sox. Through a heavy dosage of Carolina Basketball and WBZ-1030 AM Boston, Paul survived the move and eventually earned an appointment to the United States Naval Academy. Dashing his mother’s dream of him becoming a Catholic priest, Paul received a commission in the United States Marine Corps in 1987 and married the love of his life, Libby. Spanning a 20-year Marine Corps career that included duty stations in Okinawa, JA; Monterey, CA; Annapolis, MD; Camp Lejeune, NC, Orlando, FL; and Stuttgart Germany; Paul served as the SASSY Management Unit Operations Officer, Associate Chairman of the United States Naval Academy Computer Science Department, 2nd FSSG Deputy G-6, Assistant Program Manager - Software Development for an ACAT 1 program, DISA Europe Transport Networks Branch Chief, and MTWS Project Officer. Paul, Libby, and their three daughters transitioned to civilian life in Orlando, FL where Paul served as a Senior Systems Engineer for SRI-International before joining Marine Corps Systems Command in 2008.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the United States Naval Academy, a Master of Science in Computer Science from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a Master of Science in Systems Engineering (with Distinction) from the Naval Postgraduate School. Paul is a graduate of the Marine Corps Amphibious Warfare School (non-resident) and Marine Corps Command and Staff College (non-resident). Paul enjoys spending time with his wife, visiting their adult daughters, following the Bruins, Celtics, and Red Sox, and spoiling his 5-year-old Golden Retriever, Tuukka.
