MIDEAST -- Marines with India Battery, the artillery attachment for Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, deployed to the Mideast recently, where they fired their 120 mm towed mortars. These weapons are part of the Expeditionary Fire Support System (EFSS), which is managed by Marine Corps Systems Command's Program Manager for Armor and Fire Support Systems.
