New radio system enables Marines to simultaneously monitor multiple networks - U.S. Marines with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit practice assembling an AN/PRC-117G radio on the flight deck of the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD-3). The Corps plans to replace the AN/PRC-117G with multichannel radio systems to enhance situational awareness and increase the speed of execution on the battlefield.
