170824-M-YB119-001 - The Navy’s Program Executive Office for Manpower, Logistics and Business Solutions recently named Marine Corps Systems Command’s Col. Robert Bailey to lead their Marine Corps Manpower IT Systems Modernization portfolio. The Marine Corps Manpower IT Systems Modernization, or MITSM, portfolio is PEO MLB’s newest addition, aimed to modernize and improve the efficiency of its personnel and human resources management systems.

Program Executive Officer Land Systems Stephen Bowdren’s relationship with the Corps began 43 years ago when he attended the Marine Corps Platoon Leaders Course at Camp Upshur in Quantico, Virginia, while a college student. Bowdren ultimately joined the U.S. Navy in 1982 and served faithfully until he retired from active duty in 2002. He was appointed as PEO Land Systems in 2022.
