MCSC supports 2018 Modern Day Marine Expo

Marine Corps Systems Command will support the Modern Day Marine Military Exposition Sept. 25-27, aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico. The annual event showcases the latest innovations in military equipment and systems, designed specifically to address the evolving, expeditionary needs of the Marine Corps. During the three-day event, members of industry, military leaders and Marines will have the opportunity to interact with MCSC, and experience some of the systems and technology used by Marines in the fleet.

Harvested HMMWV parts will save Corps millions, increase survivability of JLTV

A harvesting effort by Program Executive Officer Land Systems and Marine Corps Systems Command could save the Corps millions and make one of its newest vehicles more survivable. The Gunner’s Protection Kit, managed by Infantry Weapons within MCSC’s Portfolio Manager Ground Combat Equipment Systems, is currently installed on High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles. As a cost-savings measure, the kits will be removed from HMMWVs and installed on Joint Light Tactical Vehicles as they are fielded to the fleet next year. Using harvested parts instead of buying new potentially saves the Corps more than $100 million.

2015 Modern Day Marine Military Exposition schedule, speaker lineup

The 2015 Modern Day Marine Military Expo will focus on enhanced capabilities for expeditionary forces and will be hosted at Marine Corps Base, Quantico, Virginia, Sept. 22 - 24. This year marks the 23rd consecutive year the show has staged at MCB, Quantico and the 10th year at Lejeune Field, the main parade deck aboard MCB, Quantico, the “Crossroads of the Corps”.
