Navigating Modern Warzones with ENFIRE 9.0 - The Instrument Set, Reconnaissance, and Surveying toolset – or ENFIRE 9.0 – is a tactical engineering tool kit designed to modernize the collection and dissemination of engineer information to help route reconnaissance in combat. In a wartime environment, Marines can use the toolkit to gather and analyze location-based data, such as topography, terrain features, and structures, to plan and execute operations more effectively.
A Fond Farewell to the Voice of Marine Corps Acquisitions - Then-Sgt. Emanuel “Manny” Pacheco learning the recruiting ropes from a fellow Marine in Times Square, New York City, in 1987. Pacheco’s illustrious 40-year career included a stint as a Public Affairs non-commissioned officer for Recruiting Station New York. Pacheco retired at a ceremony held at the National Museum of the Marine Corps Museum in Triangle, Va., on March 8, 2023.

Designed to be transported by a single Marine – and set up by that same Marine in less than 15 minutes – the innovative new system allows Marines on the ground to quickly and securely connect to various SATCOM frequencies while providing high throughput rate.
