James Mayers (right), lead satellite communications engineer, and Martha Lively, satellite communications logistician, both in Marine Air-Ground Task Force Command, Control and Communications at Marine Corps Systems Command, set up the an inflatable satellite communications antenna Nov. 18 in Huntsville, Ala. Mayers was selected by the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association and U.S. Naval Institute to receive the 2014 Copernicus Award for his contributions to the satellite communications field in 2013.
