Chief Hospital Corpsman Jared Anderson uses an Infrascanner to assess Master Gunnery Sgt. Maceo Mathis for intracranial hematomas--or bleeding within the skull--aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico, Va. The Infrascanner is a portable, medical diagnostic device that provides early detection of intracranial hematomas in the field, potentially saving lives and improving casualty care and recovery.
