Marine Corps, Georgia Tech unveil modeling, simulation facility

Virginia Rep. Rob Wittman said the expanded modeling and simulation facility at Marine Corps Base Quantico will help the Corps "integrate real-world data to our troops." The facility was opened Nov. 12 by officials from Marine Corps Systems Command and Georgia Tech Research Institute.

Next Generation Troposcatter

August 20, 2024 – MARINE CORPS BASE TWENTYNINE PALMS, Calif. – Marines with the Marine Corps Communication-Electronics School (MCCES) set up the Next Generation Troposcatter (NGT) satellite at a New Equipment Training event in Twentynine Palms, CA August 20, 2024. MCCES is the first unit to receive NGT and will train future Marines on the system.

In August, Marine Corps Systems Command began fielding NET to the Marine Corps Communication-Electronics School.
