Marine Corps to Begin Trial Run for New Physical Training Uniform - Cpl. Olanda Baronette, with Security Battalion, Headquarters Company, demonstrates a prototype version of the new Physical Training Uniform. On April 13, Marine Corps Systems Command awarded four contracts to manufacture prototypes for an updated PTU, which will then be tested and evaluated by MCSC. MCSC, MCTSSA ‘Utilize’ NPS graduates - MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON – Maj. Ryan Keller recently received a ‘Bar-Raiser’ award from the commanding officer of Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA) for taking the initiative to provide hands-on training for employees learning Microsoft Teams and Office 365 software. Keller graduated from Naval Postgraduate School with a Master of Science degree in Computer Science in 2019. Marines receive improved optic to identify threats from longer distances - CWO4 Dave Tomlinson, infantry weapons officer at Marine Corps Systems Command, demonstrates the Squad Common Optic attached to the M27 Infantry Automatic Rifle, Feb. 10, aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia. The SCO is an improved optic that improves target acquisition and probability of hit with infantry assault rifles.
