Ammunition

PM Ammo supports the Fleet Marine Force by procuring and safely providing and sustaining ammunition to enable success across the range of military operations.
MANEUVER AMMUNITION AND MISSILE 

The Maneuver Ammunition and Missile Team is responsible for the acquisition and life cycle management of effective small/medium caliber munitions, rockets, and missiles to meet the Total Munitions Requirement (TMR) of the Marine Corps.

CLOSE COMBAT AND COMBAT AMMUNITION 

The Close Combat and Combat Ammunition Team is responsible for the acquisition and life cycle management of safe and reliable Artillery, Mortars, Demolitions/Line Charges, Grenades, Pyrotechnics, Mines and non-lethal munitions to meet the training and warfighting requirements of the Fleet Marine Force.

ENVIRONMENTAL AND EXPLOSIVES SAFETY

The Environmental and Explosives Safety (EES) Branch develops and manages policy/guidance for the Marine Corps Explosive Safety Management Program (ESMP).  Additionally, they conduct Explosives Safety Inspection Compliance Reviews (ESI-CRs) for every Marine Corps installation, and address environmental concerns and requirements as they relate to all aspects of military munitions.

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

The Inventory Management Branch is responsible for executing the Marine Corps Class V(W) Inventory Control Point mission.  They execute the strategic phase of the supply chain, which extends from procurement receipt into the inventory through issue, consumption and/or disposal/demilitarization.  This includes processing and tracking Class V(W) ammunition demands in support of Marine Corps world-wide training and war reserve requirements, developing and administering inter-service support agreements for Class V(W) Common-Item-Support with other services, and collaborating with the other functional teams within the ammunition logistics community.

PLANS AND ANALYSIS

The Plans and Analysis Branch is comprised of two sections.  The Plans section provides seamless Class V(W) munitions planning and sustainment coordination and support across the logistics enterprise for the Fleet Marine Force and Marine Corps-led Joint Task Forces.  They also support all prepositioning programs, both ashore and afloat.  The Analysis section facilitates the Ammunition Logistics Focus Team (ALFT) and Class V(W) ground ammunition Inventory Accuracy/Accountability policy and oversight responsibilities.

AMMUNITION ACQUISITION AND OPERATIONS 

The Ammunition Acquisition and Operations Team provides the other Teams and Branches with general program operations, acquisition support, configuration management, risk management, and information technology support.  Additionally, they collaborate with the other services in areas such as ammunition-related additive manufacturing and research and development (R&D) projects.
