Marine Corps Systems Command

Equipping Our Marines

TTO Mission:

The mission of the Technology Transition Office is to engage internal and external organizations in order to develop a science and technology portfolio responsive to customer needs and to enable technology transition into Marine Corps systems. The TTO coordinates Marine Corps Systems Command modernization plans, leverages S&T resources, enables prototype experimentation, and performs technology readiness assessments in order to ensure affordable technology infusion into Marine Corps acquisition programs of record.

Specialized Expertise:

Technology Experimentation

Technology experimentation coordinates experimentation of developmental prototypes in operational environments to collect operator feedback and reduce risk to acquisition programs. This is accomplished through close coordination with fleet science advisers, program offices and technology providers.

Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer

The Marine Corps SBIR/STTR program gives U.S. small businesses the opportunity to develop innovative advances in technologies to address Marine Corps needs, as well as commercialize and transition these technologies to Marine Corps Systems Command and Program Executive Officer Land Systems programs.

Advanced Technology Integrators

Advanced technology integrators serve as the authoritative experts for the development and transition of technology to their program management offices. They accomplish this through close collaboration with the Office of Naval Research, Naval Warfare Centers, Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory and other science and technology organizations.
