PDQR & Warranty Issues

USMC Warranty Management Instruction dated 30 Aug 2001 and the USMC PDQR Program Standard Procedures PDQR User's Guide dated 22 Feb 2008 address USMC procedures for warranty issues.

Detailed PQDR information is available from Marine Corps Logistics Command at http://www.logcom.usmc.mil/pqdr/default.asp

Army Technical Bulletins TB 671-24 and TB 672-24 address warranty issues for the 30 kW TQG and 60 kW TQG.  Army publications are provided for guidance only, but contain valuable information.

There is an available tool that makes the Computer Interface Module (CIM) screen on the MEP-805B and -806B TQGs lighter or darker, depending on how the operator wants the screen displayed. The name of this tool is the CIM Contrast Adjuster.  The majority of CIM problems that the manufacturer has encountered have been that the screen is too dark to read. There is nothing physically wrong with the CIM screen; it is just too dark. There was no way to manually adjust the contrast on the CIM.  The Army PM-MEP has designed the adjuster and passed the information to the USMC.  There is no software interface needed.  To acquire an adjuster, contact your Field Service Representative. To use the adjuster, it  needs to be hooked up the adjuster to the 100-pin connector, P-27, turn the generator on and adjust the contrast with the toggle pin.  Provided are instructions and  troubleshooting guides:
